Cover the pie with plastic wrap, but dont let the wrap touch the surface of the filling and/or frosting. 4 Transfer the filling to the pie crust and smooth into an even layer. Remove from the stand mixer and gently fold in the whipped cream. Increase the speed to medium and mix until well combined. The jello mixture and finished filling all also require. Turn the mixer to low speed and slowly add the key lime juice. Rather than thawing out the frozen pie, we're going to chop it up and make dip! Make sure you press the pecan crust firmly so it will set and definitely refrigerate until it sets.
